Jay McConville is a community leader, a successful business executive, and a veteran of the U.S. Army and Desert Storm. Jay is seeking to represent the 44th District (Mt. Vernon) against Democrat Kris Amundson. Jay is running to bring real transportation solutions to the Route 1 Corridor, increase fiscal responsibility, support a modern and dynamic education system, and to protect and grow jobs in Virginia. Although he faces a ten-year incumbent, this is a competitive district that many have already identified as a race to watch, especially after Jay out-raised his opponent during his first reporting period.
