About the Caucus

The House Republican Caucus leads the Virginia House of Delegates, which, along with the Virginia Senate, makes up the Virginia General Assembly.

Caucus Leadership

William J. Howell (R-Stafford), 54th Speaker of the Virginia House of Delegates, leads the House and the Republican Caucus. The Caucus' elected leadership team also includes Majority Leader Kirk Cox (R-Colonial Heights), Caucus Chair Tim Hugo (R-Clifton), and Majority Whip Jackson Miller (R-Manassas).

Caucus Membership

The House Republican Caucus is currently standing strong at 68 members, including 15 members that were first elected in the November 2011 election.

Caucus Alumni

The Caucus is proud to number among its alumni Gov. Bob McDonnell, U.S. House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (VA-7), Congressmen Rob Wittman (VA-1), J. Randy Forbes (VA-4), Robert Hurt (VA-5), and H. Morgan Griffith (VA-9).
